Welcome! As the saying goes - time flies. It's hard to believe that my first job in this profession started when I got licensed in 1993 to sell investments. I was told to go knock on doors and find customers. Looking back, that was a horrible way to build trust and a client base. But, certain things didn't exist back then - cell phones, social media, or even Google - and knocking on doors sort of worked when selling a product.

I no longer sell investment products and I'm glad for that. As the other saying goes - when you sell hammers, everything is a nail. I've learned over the years that every person's financial situation is different. Yes, some things are similar but everyone has different family dynamics, values, attitudes, and approaches to how they handle their money. No one is a "nail" and everyone deserves honest guidance and clear explanations knowing that they are not going to be sold something.

When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy exercising, reading, and listening to podcasts. More recently, I've been enjoying learning more about cooking (but still have a ways to go to reach amateur status).

To get better at my craft, I studied for, and passed, the test to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and then continued my studies with the American College to obtain the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designations. I'm also a member of the Financial Planning Association in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University.
