Lead importing procedures for LeadBoss

1)     Make sure you have your leads saved as a comma delimited file.

a.      The easiest way to do this is to get your leads into an Excel worksheet

c.      Select the “Save as type” of “CSV, comma delimited”

d.      Your file is now in the appropriate FILE format to be uploaded

2)     Click on Import

3)     Toward the bottom of the screen you will see a blue box with a “view” button. This will generate a popup that will show you which fields can be imported into LeadBoss. NOTE: you must specify a lead type for your file:

                                                              i.      Term

                                                              ii.      LTC

                                                             iii.      Annuity or

                                                             iv.      Health

4)     Within your CSV file (old Excel file) title the columns using the EXACT headings/fields as shown in the popup box. NOTE: it may work best to simply copy and paste the field name from the popup into the CSV file.

5)     Save your new file to your computer’s hard drive

6)     Click the “Browse” button in the blue box and find the file to import.

7)     Click “Next”

Because you have titled the headings the SAME way as they are listed in LeadBoss (instructed above), you can simply select the same name field name in the drop down box that is listed. You can then save this format to use for additional uploads. Be sure to title this format in a way that allows you to determine the field headings and/or is specific enough so you know what fields are included.
